OUR INITIATIVES

GULF REGIONAL INNOVATIVE TRAINING CONFERENCE

The Baldwin County Education Coalition (BCEC) is proud to host the Gulf Regional Innovative Teaching Conference, a professional development conference for teachers by teachers. The three-day event is held in late July before the start of the new school year. The conference kicks off with a keynote speaker and offers over 150, 55-minute sessions
fitting to different grade levels, disciplines and interests.

Effective schools are built upon the foundation of well-trained and well-supported teachers and administrators. Multiple studies report that teacher professional development leads to better instruction and improved student learning. GRITC embodies BCEC’s core value of elevating our educators.

“Our teachers are on the front lines every day changing the lives of our children. It’s important that we invest in them and equip them with the professional development and resources they need to be the best they can be.”

– Terry Burkle, Executive Director
