The Coalition is an independent, nonprofit, nonpartisan citizens’ organization who recognize education as the single best investment for economic prosperity and as the very core for addressing social challenges in our community. 

A State of the Workforce Report: Region 9, published by the University of Alabama’s Center for Business and Economic Research, April 2016, validates our belief stating; Improving education is important because:

• A highly educated and productive workforce is a critical economic development asset
• Productivity rises with education
• Educated people are more likely to work
• Yields high private and social rates of return on investment
