Inaugural Charity Chukkers Polo Event Raises Over $37,000 for Palm Project

On Sunday, May 4th, the Baldwin County Education Coalition hosted its first-ever Charity Chukkers Polo Event at February Farm & the Polo Field in Silverhill, AL. Presented by the Shirlee’s Kids Charitable Foundation, the event hosted 230 attendees for an afternoon filled with high-energy polo matches, exciting raffles, community celebration, and a shared commitment to supporting Baldwin County students.

Thanks to the generosity of attendees and sponsors, the event raised an impressive $37,228 in support of Palm Project—an initiative that ensures every public school in Baldwin County is stocked with essential care closet items free of charge to students and schools.

Highlights from the day included:

🐴 Best Playing Pony (Club Match): Floro, ridden by Lauren Sattler, owned by Luis Ansola

🏇 Pro-Am Winner: Radcliff Homes/No Trees

🐴 Best Playing Pony (Pro-Am Match): Fara, ridden and owned by Hutch Radcliff

🎟️ Raffle Winners: Amy Phillippi (Boat Blok) and Mac Campbell (Blanton’s Bourbon)

From stylish hat contests to divot stomps and exciting giveaways, the event offered something for everyone—and most importantly, made a meaningful impact on students in need. During the 2023-2024 school year, Palm Project provided more than 18,000 essential items to 43 schools—ensuring that students have the resources they need to thrive.
